What is it with “Christians” and killing the powerless?

This is mainstream in conservative Christianity. Anyone who helps a troubled youth dealing with gender issues should be shot.

This conservative panic over gender issues dealing with about 2% of the population (the best data show that about that number identify as non-binary) demonstrates just how few critical issues conservatives care about. Calling anyone who wants to help pedophil groomers and calling for their death? That is the panic? Not global warming? Not income inequality? Not children dying of poverty nor even children who go to bed hungry?
