65 inch viewscreen now on the ISS

Nice huge screen for our astronauts. My latest Space Trade Association post.

Astronauts on Space Station Get First Zero-Gravity Viewscreen
[Via SPACE.com]

Movie nights aboard the International Space Station have just received a major upgrade with the launch of the first projection screen designed for use in microgravity.

The inhabitants of the ISS now have access to a “life’ size screen for displaying conference alls, family visits or movies.

It has been designed to not only work with the lights on – they really cannot turn out all the lights to watch a movie – but it can also be deployed almost anywhere in the habitat.

Getting more of the comforts of home all the time.
