The Pew Research Center’s 2013 Global Attitudes survey asked 40,117 respondents in 40 countries what they thought about eight topics often discussed as moral issues: extramarital affairs, gambling, homosexuality, abortion, premarital sex, alcohol consumption, divorce, and the use of contraceptives.
There is quite a spread amongst all the countries with many seeing all of these things being highly moral issues.
Since most of the questions deal with various aspects of sex, it is not too surprising that France finds most of these acceptable morally or not even a moral issue.
But France is such an outlier here. Only one of these questions was viewed by a plurality of French \ as unacceptable morally. That was extramarital affairs (47%). But 0% of them do not even view extramarital affairs as a moral issue at all.
I’d love to see how this broke down along sexes in France.
