So why does Apple get hit with a $33 million settlement but Google gets nothing, for the same thing?

    1. The Feds have actually done some great things for Apple, especially on the ITC side of things. These problems are being caused by a much smaller group, usualy independent of whomever is running the government. The anti-trust Feds are the problem. They seem to be living in the age of trusts rather than the information age. The case against Apple was stupid. Amazon creates a monopoly and Apple is the one charged with anti-trust. Apple got punished not so much that it did anything wrong but because it fought it in court. The courts really hate anyone who fights in court these days, expecting corporate defendants to simply pay whatever the prosecutors askes.
