Police ticket Google Glass-wearing driver for watching “TV” in car

A California woman was apparently pulled over and given a ticket for driving while wearing Google Glass last night. Cecilia Abadie took to Google+ to post a picture of the ticket she received in San Diego, which says she was guilty of “Driving with Monitor visible to Driver (Google Glass).”

There is some ambiguity in the law but its purpose is to prevent the driver from being distracted by video. Sure seems like Google Glass could be distracting, at least as much as using a cell phone might be, for cognitive processing while driving.
It will be interesting to see how this works out. Perhaps wearing Google Glass while driving will end up being the same as using a cell phone while driving.
