Apple alone now holds 10% of all US corporate cash

Of the $1.48 trillion in cash held by U.S. non-financial companies as of June 30, Apple’s $147 billion in reserves accounted for 10 percent of all companies, new data shows.

Microsoft, Google, Cisco and Pfizer add another 25%. So high tech companies have most of the country’s cash. Maybe Apple can loan some of it to the US government in case the House defaults on our debt.
Now that would be interesting.
