Apple’s iOS unaffected by malware as Android exploits surge 76%

A new study has found that iOS remained untouched by malware during the second quarter, while Android faced 76 percent more threats than in the first quarter, making it the most targeted mobile platform.

Android jumped from number 3 to number 1. There were 44 cases of malware in the quarter that could have hit thousands if not millions of people’s phones.
Apple’s iOS had none.
Perhaps having an approval process allows Apple to provide apps without any malware. Meanwhile Google’s approach of letting people tell it about malware after the sale means more malware gets out.
And according to the report, there may just be more inherent security in iOS as it has “full protection” against malware.
