Google’s Schmidt: Apple responding to Android with lawsuits, not innovation
Google executive Eric Schmidt has said his company will support HTC in its legal battle with Apple, and accused the company — where he was once a board member — for “responding with lawsuits” rather than innovating.
These lawsuits are all about innovation. If Google had been the first to create something, they would sue copiers also. That is how the system is supposed to work.
If Apple did not sue those who simply copied their work, then Apple would lose its competitive advantage, just as any innovator would. Otherwise, let Apple spend the money on research and let copiers steal the ideas.
And it is nonsensical to say that Apple has not been innovating.
Sounds more like a sore loser to me.
