#CrowdGrant Consider the facts uses a story to teach science. A Story of Our Warming Planet uses sound.

Finding ways to disengage incorrect System 1 thinking based on inappropriate rules of thumb in order to engage deliberative thought is what Consider the Facts is all about.

Here is another approach – using music to directly engage emotional parts of our brain that are not as open to lectures and then teaching.

Each note represents the temperature of a year. It is impossible to not get an instantaneous impression of what has happened over the last 100 years.

The graph of data then serves as a tool to see what is happening.

Great use of  data with metaphor. I hope Consider the Facts can be even one half as effective.
