Microsoft has joined Apple in filing an antitrust suit against Motorola Mobility in the European Union for allegedly abusing its standard-essential patents.

Using FRAND patents in non-FRAND ays is an opening to chaos. The EU is not happy with Google right now anyway. Having the two biggest companies in this marketplace both complain of such dirty tactics does not bode well for Google’s chances.
